Xiana Barros is currently UNICRI fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre (European University Institute, Florence, Italy), she is sponsored by the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI). She holds a BA (Licenciatura) in Political Science from the University of Santiago de Compostela and an Master of Science in European Politics from the London School of Economics. She defended her PhD on Explaining European Union Decision-Making on Counter-Terrorism at the Political and Social Sciences Department of the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). Her teaching experience includes Masters and undergraduates courses on EU foreign policy at the University of Kent (Brussels campus) and at the Vesalius College, Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
