Jarmo Pulkkinen earned his PhD in history of science and ideas at the University of Oulu (Finland) in 2000. He is currently working as a lecturer at the History Department of Oulu University. He has published books and articles on the history of philosophy, the history of medicine and the history of computers. His present research interests include history of scientific metaphors, philosophy of scientific discovery, and history of early modern science.
