Steffi Marung, geb. Franke, M.A., is research fellow at the Centre for the History and Culture of East Central Europe at the University of Leipzig (GWZO). She finishes her PhD thesis on „From the Iron Curtain to EU neighbourhood Territorialization and the Change of Border Regimes from the German-Polish to the Polish-Ukrainian Eastern Border of the EU". She teaches at the Global and European Studies Institute of the University of Leipzig. Since 2005 she is board member of the European Network in Universal and Global History (ENIUGH). She was member of team 4 "Overlapping National Histories in Europe" in the programme "Representations of the Past; The Writing of National Histories in Europe (NHIST)" of the European Science Foundation (ESF); Her publications include György Konráds "Mein Traum von Europa". Katja Naumann, coordinates as research fellow at the Center fort he History and Culture of East Central Europe at the University of Leipzig the edition of a 3-volume handbook „History of East Central Europe in transnational perspective. In parallel she is finishing her dissertation on „Historiographical World Orders in the US. The Teaching and Research of World History at the Columbia University, the University of Chicago and Harvard University 1918-1968". For this she has received grants from the German Historical Institutes Washington and the Special Collection Research Center of the University of Chicago and the European Science Foundation. In addition she works in the editorial board of Comparativ. A Journal of Global History and Comparative Studies and the online-forum geschichte.transnational / H-Soz-u-Kult.
