Secc. I.2. Innovaciones paradigmáticas (historia digital) Autor E.M. Carmichael (Kanagawa University, Japan) Titulo Historians and the Asymmetry of New Media Models The Afghan Logs and Collective Protocol Resumen The paper examines the issues of attribution and authentication associated with the anonymous or unauthorized Internet publication of sensitive or classified national security-related information. How such issues affect the work of the historian directly or otherwise engaged in the analysis of security policy today is salient to the discussion to follow. Special reference is made to the Internet release of the Afghan War Diary, 2004-2010 by the WikiLeaks organization in July 2010 and to the institutional and public media response to which it has given rise. |
